Automation and You – Strategies for Effective Automation Management

How to Maximize Automation in the Cockpit to Enhance Flight Safety and Enjoyment

On Wednesday, February 17, starting at 7:00 PM CST, John Hollingshead of High Performance Aviation, LLC will present an FAA Safety Team talk on strategies for effective automation management. Many pilots under-use automation, while others over-use automation. In this seminar John will explore automation best practices as well as common pitfalls. He will discuss both new technology and old, including autopilots, GPS (panel mount and handheld), iPads, and even paper charts. Whether your airplane is brand new with all the bells and whistles, or older with an aging avionics install, you won’t want to miss this informative discussion.

This Fly-In Seminar is located at KSGR, hosted by Anson Aviation and sponsored by FAASTeam. Anson Aviation is located south of the Sugar Land Regional Airport main terminal. Participants are eligible for WINGS credit. Register online for this seminar.
