Frequently Asked Questions

How can I sign up for HPA’s FREE newsletter?

It’s simple!

Just go to “Become a VIP” to sign up.  Stay up to date with the latest tips and tricks for your airplane.

How do I get started with the WINGS Program?

You can register for the WINGS Pilot Proficiency Program at www.faasafety.gov.

You can find out more information about the program at the following link: WINGS Program

You can also download our guide from a recent seminar given for the Houston area FAASTeam: WINGS Program 101 Guide

Is your training insurance-approved?

Yes.  We offer factory and insurance-accepted training courses.  Most of these courses are FITS approved (FAA Industry Training Standards).  We have trained pilots using a variety of insurance brokers and underwriters and can get your training pre-approved by your insurance company.  Some insurance companies even reduce the training requirements for pilots that take our factory accepted courses.  If you have any questions, you can always contact us for more details on your specific situation.

Do you have references?

Absolutely!  Check out some of our raving fans on our testimonials page:

How much does training cost?

High Performance Aviation, LLC is committed to providing the best possible flight training available to aircraft owners.  Our premium services are flexible to meet your needs.

Information on rates can be found here: http://www.flyhpa.com/about/rates/

Does HPA provide airplanes for rent?

Our business is focused on owners of Technically Advanced Aircraft (TAA).  For this reason, we do not currently rent out any aircraft, although it may be possible to make arrangements with local flight schools to fit your needs.

What can we do for you?

Our typical clients are aircraft owners of late-model glass cockpit aircraft equipped with Avidyne or Garmin G1000 avionics.   Many clients have hundreds of hours of experience and have tried several flight instructors, discovering that they end up teaching their instructors how to use the avionics.  The per-hour cost might be lower at a flight school, but the total time required to gain proficiency will be higher in the long-run.  You didn’t risk buying the cheapest airplane on the market… So don’t risk learning from the cheapest instructor on the market.  If you really want to understand your airplane and avionics, hire an expert to come to your location.  It will take less time in the long run, and you benefit from increased safety, efficiency, and comfort in your aircraft.

Where can we serve you?

Training is provided at your location of choice anywhere in the country.  High Performance Aviation, LLC is based in Conroe, Texas (just north of Houston).  We typically fly out of Lone Star Executive Airport (KCXO).  It is conveniently located in Conroe and is just a short drive from The Woodlands.

Our preferred FBO is Galaxy FBO on the southwest side of Lone Star Executive Airport.  Let them know you’re their with High Performance Aviation.  They’ll take good care of you.

If there is a more convenient airport in the Houston area, we will try to accommodate your needs.  Also, for clients who are based outside of the Houston area, we can come to you.  We travel all over the country to meet with new and repeat clients.  Florida, Oregon, Utah, Ohio, New Hampshire… You name it!
